Articling Student

Kornblum Law Professional Corporation, a Toronto-based employment law firm, is seeking an Articling Student for a 10-month term.

Qualifications:

  • Completed three years of law school
  • Strong research and writing skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Highly developed time-management skills
  • An interest in employment law

Kornblum Law is a boutique labour/employment law firm in Toronto. The firm was founded by Ryan Kornblum, a Western Law graduate and highly respected employment lawyer.

Our areas of focus include employment law, human rights law, litigation, and disability law. We represent employees in the Greater Toronto Area, throughout Ontario and across Canada. We offer a friendly work environment. As a Kornblum Law Articling Student, you will receive one-on-one mentorship throughout the entire articling term, and you will be a valued member of our team.

Articling Students:

Articling students at Kornblum Law will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • Communications with clients
  • Drafting legal letters and correspondence
  • Drafting pleadings (including pleadings for the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal, Ontario Labour Relations Board, Small Claims Court, and the Ontario Superior Court of Justice etc.)
  • Drafting witness statements, mediation briefs, affidavits, and other legal documents
  • Attending or assisting with client meetings
  • Attending or assisting with mediations and court appearances

Compensation:

This position provides a competitive salary.
